You may file the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
*If you need federal loans or Federal Work Study by the beginning
of the academic year, it is strongly advised that the FAFSA is filed
by July 15. If you file after this date, we cannot guarantee your
funds will be here by the beginning of the academic year. You may
file the FAFSA throughout the academic year or term you are enrolled.
However, you must be planning to attend or be in attendance to file
for federal aid. You cannot apply for federal aid after the year or
term you are attending has ended.
**
The Financial Aid Award Notification is your official notice of
financial aid administered by the Office of Financial Aid &
Scholarship Programs and will not include any academic awards you
may be receiving.

| Graduate
students are considered financially independent of their parents for
Federal Student Loans. As a graduate student, you do not report parental
information on the FAFSA. Syracuse University's Department of Education
Title IV code is 002882. |
| |
| When
you file the FAFSA, the Department of Education will send you a Student
Aid Report (SAR). If you do not receive a SAR within four weeks of
filing the FAFSA, you should contact the Federal Student Aid Information
Center at 1-800-433-3243. |
