a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is free. The College Scholarship Service PROFILE does charge a processing fee. However, if you need assistance completing the PROFILE you may call our office for assistance. As the financial aid process has become more complex, there has been a significant increase in the number of individuals and organizations offering professional financial aid services to students and their families. As a wise consumer, you should exercise caution to avoid being taken advantage of and be sure you fully understand the services that are offered. Be wary of organizations that charge a fee to submit your financial aid application or to find you money for college.
