| Important
Reminders |
- The total
amount that you may receive in all forms of financial assistance
(including loans) is limited by the cost of attendance.
- If you have
received remitted tuition benefits, a scholarship, a fellowship,
VESID, Veteran’s Benefits, a stipend or any other form of
financial assistance to cover all or part of your education expenses,
your loan eligibility may be reduced.
- All summer
student loans are disbursed at the beginning of the enrollment
period.
- If you are
due a refund from your loan, you must request it from the Bursar’s
Office or on line at myslice.syr.edu
after classes begin.
- Loans borrowed
for the summer will not affect academic year eligibility, however
the loan will be applied to the total aggregate limit.
- To ensure
that your loan funds arrive at the beginning of the summer semester,
complete this application at least 3 weeks before your program
begins.
- You may
apply up until the last week of the summer session you attend.
However, you must have a completed Federal Stafford loan MPN,
entrance counseling session and a 08-09 FAFSA on file. Applications
received after the end of your enrollment period cannot be processed.
