This is Syracuse University:
Since its founding in 1870, Syracuse University has provided an environment
for a diverse community of learners to come together to create, explore,
and grow. Each year, approximately 10,700 undergraduates are enrolled
in one of SU’s nine undergraduate colleges.
A Syracuse University education opens the door to a world of possibilities
and enables students to engage with scholars, practitioners, and each
other to address relevant issues that affect local, national, and global
communities. The University offers more than 200 majors and 70 minors
in the liberal arts and well as such professional areas as architecture,
business, communications, education, engineering and computer science,
human services and health professions, information studies, and visual
and performing arts.
Students are able to complement their education with a dual major; a minor;
Internships in the City of Syracuse and throughout the world; undergraduate
research opportunities; and study abroad to hundreds of places, including
SU’s six overseas campuses.
The 200-acre residential campus has a striking presence, situated on a
hill overlooking the City of Syracuse. The city offers students all of
the cultural, recreational, and entertainment opportunities found in large
metropolitan areas, but there is also plenty going on around campus. With
more than 300 student organizations and clubs; Division I sports programs;
and an endless stream of performers, lecturers, and presenters visiting
campus, there is always something exciting happening on campus.
