I am Jeremiah Park<\/strong>, a Senior in the iSchool majoring in Information Management and Technology with a concentration in Project Management. I am originally from Southern Maine, where I learned to love surfing and snowboarding. I decided to join the financial literacy team because I am passionate about building a strong financial base for myself.\u00a0 After graduation, I am doing technology risk consulting for Ernst & Young in Boston. The Office of Financial Literacy has prepared me for this role by giving me experience in an office setting and teaching me the financial literacy-related skills that free up my time from worrying about money, giving me more time to work on my school and career goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

My name is Keeva George,<\/strong> and I am a Senior double-majoring in Political Science and English and Textual Studies. I grew up on the small peninsula of Cape Co,d which is why I love the beach so much. I joined the Office of Financial Literacy because I experienced firsthand the lack of financial education prior to entering university, which is obviously a very financially relevant period. I hope to take my knowledge and experience from my time as a peer counselor into my career in Public Policy. My skills gained from trauma-informed counseling really allow me to connect with others and understand the root cause of social issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I am a sophomore majoring in Real Estate at SU, but I am originally from New York City. Growing up in New York City was very fun and fast-paced, and it felt like one could do anything at any time because there was always something going on. My favorite thing about SU is the food culture \u2013 specifically the Latenight Halal on Marshall Street. I am passionate about being a peer counselor because the prospect of being able to share knowledge regarding financial literacy with others is exciting, considering that I feel school never adequately prepared us for it.<\/p>\n

My name is Jason Shin,<\/strong> and I am a junior at Syracuse University majoring in Economics and Policy Studies with a minor in Fashion Design. Originally from Southern California, I grew up surrounded by sunshine and ocean breezes, so adjusting to Syracuse\u2019s climate has been a new experience. I joined the Financial Literacy Office during my sophomore year to strengthen my financial skills while connecting with peers who shared an interest in budgeting and personal growth. This role has helped me develop both professionally and personally, and I look forward to carrying these lessons beyond campus. After graduation, I hope to build my career in New York City alongside my sister, applying the financial skills I\u2019ve gained to keep both my goals and budget on track.<\/p>\n

My name is Aaron Wang,<\/strong> and I am a senior majoring in Business Analytics and Finance. Originally from Queens, New York, I was fortunate to grow up in a highly diverse community. This experience exposed me to a wide array of cultures and backgrounds, many of which were new to me. I chose to join the Financial Literacy team to address the challenges I faced personally and to ensure other students feel less alone in their financial journeys. The skills I have gained here have prepared me to advise and consult a wide range of clients after graduation, no matter their background or financial needs.<\/p>\n
