My name is Jason Shin, and I am a senior at Syracuse University majoring in Economics and Policy Studies. Originally from Southern California, I grew up surrounded by sunshine and ocean breezes, so adjusting to Syracuse’s climate has been a new experience. I joined the Financial Literacy Office during my sophomore year to strengthen my financial skills while connecting with peers who shared an interest in budgeting and personal growth. This role has helped me develop both professionally and personally, and I look forward to carrying these lessons beyond campus. After graduation, I hope to build my career in New York City alongside my sister, applying the financial skills I’ve gained to keep both my goals and budget on track.

My name is Christy Joshy, and I’m a senior student studying Supply Chain Management and International Relations at SU. I’m originally from South Florida, and in my free time, I enjoy rewatching my favorite sitcoms, hanging out with friends, and reading. I am returning to the Financial Literacy Office this year after my semester abroad in Strasbourg, France. I am passionate about helping others maximize their college experience and take risks without financial guilt and shame. Following graduation, I aspire to work in operations at an organization whose mission I feel strongly aligned with, and possibly pursue further education in sustainability or law.

I grew up in a very small farm town in upstate New York and have a love for the outdoors. After being an undergraduate I plan to attend graduate school and obtain a master’s in business administration.
