Graduate Program: Clinical Mental Health Counseling
I am Issabella Dedomenico, a first-year master’s student majoring in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am originally from Seattle, Washington. I grew up forty minutes outside of Seattle with an amazing Italian restaurant called Jenos, with some of the best pizza I have ever had. I decided to join the FinLit team to grow my knowledge in finance and continue my previous work in helping students gain access to resources on campus. I am passionate about fostering a space of understanding and communication in my future career as a licensed counselor in the mental health community and in the greater Syracuse community.

Graduate Program: Music Business
Hi! My name is Ava Piro, and I am a Master’s student, majoring in music business in the Bandier program. I am originally from New Jersey. I grew up with a diverse background, being both Black and White, as well as my surroundings consisting of diverse cultures and backgrounds. I also grew up in a single-parent household. I decided to become part of the financial literacy team because I love helping others, but I also needed the fundamental tools not only for my venture in the music business, but for myself in everyday life. I now see crossovers more often when reading legal contracts for artists or in my finance course. After graduating, I am hoping to figure that out soon. There are so many options in the industry. Financial literacy will, by then, have enhanced my social skills, my knowledge in business, and enable me to make smart financial decisions for myself and guide others. Feel free to connect if you have any questions or need advice!
