Elana Alphonso
Elana Alphonso is a graduate student in Information Studies at the iSchool. Elana is passionate about using technology and data to improve people’s lives and enhance community wellness on a large scale. She loves the idea of empowering students with the knowledge and tools to take control of their personal finances during their biggest investment yet (college) and firmly believes that financial education is the cornerstone of well-being and effective money management. A fun fact about Elana, is that she enjoys running, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
Grismeldys Beato
Grismeldys Beato is a Graduate Program Assistant in the Office of Financial Aid at Syracuse University. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Advertising, Grismeldys brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to the role. With a background in Entrepreneurship, Retail Management, and Information Management & Technology, Grismeldys is passionate about supporting students’ financial literacy and career development while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. Her experience in leadership, public speaking, and office management further strengthens their ability to contribute meaningfully to the campus community.
